Private Commissions

I do take commissions, usually for glass, window panels or bowls. I am happy to discuss proposals and agree prices.

Some commissions I have worked on recently include individual bowls, screens with pate de verre, some pieces for installation into a luxury catamaran, and window panels - one with sun designs and one with honey bees. Some are more challenging than others. I, like most artists, find it difficult to resist a challenge. The largest single panel my kiln will allow is 17" x 22", but designs can consist of several sections.

Portraits

I also take commissions for watercolour and oil portraits, usually of pets, but humans are welcome. If you would like a portrait I need about two months notice to fit it into my schedule between firings. Good clear photographs are necessary of your pet. To enable me to create an original composition some images showing your pet`s favourite toys or environment are also a useful addition. All images will be returned. I love returning to painting and it is my intention to capture the personality of the subject as well as the visual appearance. Making the eyes "see" is supremely important to make the subject "live". Prices for portraits are discussed individually.

Deposit

A deposit of 50% is requested on all commissions.
