Wonderful reflections are cast when light shines through the objects. Glass being transparent, light is both reflected and refracted, creating dramatic and extraordinary golden and glowing effects in certain designs, which trap sunlight and cast exquisite faceted reflections over light backgrounds, like jewels. Backlighting is ideal, on a window sill perhaps. Light backgrounds do not interfere with the purity of colour and mirror reflections add another exciting dimension. Any constantly changing light allows for surprising revelations. Handling this tactile material is very satisfying too. When you find the right position for your glass it will give you great pleasure.
The images below show just how different the same piece of glass can look in different lighting conditions.
